Welcome to Atlanta Rails, this site will attempt to cover every aspects of railroading in Atlanta, from railfanning locations, trains schedules to abandoned railroad archeology and railroad history.

I would like to thank Dillon Hayward for setting up the site for me, and helping with hosting costs.

Hi my name is Nikos, I am a first year Architecture student at Georgia Tech and the main administrator of this site. Ive been railfanning in Atlanta for a few months, but ive already been amazed by the amount it has to offer. My main interests are railroad photography and abandoned railroad archeology. I will be adding new pages, photos and information as i progress with the work on this site. Im also the admin and main contributor for AthensRails, and i will attempt to provide similar in depth information for this site.

    Have you encountered trouble with CSX on the Marietta Street overpass at Tilford Yard? Word has it that CSX is claiming they own the bridge and are chasing picture takers away?

    What has been your experience?
